Dear Parent / Carer
I am writing to provide a further update following yesterday’s communication and the continued hot weather, alongside the latest weather warnings.
Again, I would like to commend our pupils for how responsibly they have responded to the conditions in school. They have done an excellent job of staying hydrated and have continued to follow staff guidance. This has helped us to maintain a calm and purposeful learning environment despite the high temperatures. Pupils made the most of indoor spaces at lunchtime today and relaxed in the cooler spaces available on the ground floor.
Monitoring and Adjustments
We continue to monitor the situation closely, including daily weather forecasts, temperatures within our buildings, conditions across the school site, and any local or national guidance. We are also adapting our provision in line with national advice, including making extensive adjustments to PE and other outdoor activities.
A reminder to please ensure that your child:
We will assess the school site and the forecast early tomorrow morning and inform you in good time if any further adjustments need to be made.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Yours sincerely
Mr M Dunn
