Re: NEU strike action suspended – all future dates

I write today having received written confirmation from the NEU that their members at Swanshurst have voted to suspend all further strike action. This means that all future dates of proposed industrial action will not go ahead.
 

We are sure you will feel, as we do, that this is welcome news for our whole school community.
 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents, carers and pupils for your patience and understanding during this time.
 

Together we can now look to the future. We are now moving towards a new chapter which will see us become an academy and, in doing so, secure the strongest and most successful long-term future for our school. We will co-create a formal local partnership with like-minded schools who share our passion to serve our communities with an exceptional education for young people.
 

We will continue to provide updates during the remainder of the process to become an academy and the joint formation of West Midlands Academy Trust with Hall Green School and Kings Norton Girls’ School.
