‘EPQ, Mathematical Studies, Oracy, and Personal Finance

In addition to their three Level 3 subjects, students in Year 12 will also complete an AS qualification in either EPQ (Extended Project Qualification), Mathematical Studies, or a small course in Oracy or Personal Finance.

EPQ is a research project culminating in a 5000 word essay.

Mathematical Studies is a course designed to examine students’ knowledge of maths in real-life situations.

From September 2026 we are also running two new practical courses accredited by exam boards in Oracy and Personal Finance which will help students develop key skills and knowledge in these areas.

Students resitting GCSE English Language or GCSE Maths are exempt.
