Sixth Form Open Evening 2025

Swanshurst Sixth Form were delighted to welcome prospective students and their families to the Open Evening event on 22nd January 2025. It was a valuable opportunity for both current Year 11 students and external applicants to explore the exceptional courses, facilities and pastoral support of offer.

 

Ms Merrick, Assistant Headteacher (Post 16), and other members of the Sixth Form pastoral team began the night with an introductory talk which outlined the ethos, opportunities, and post-Sixth Form pathways available at Swanshurst.

Prospective students had the chance to meet subject teachers, gain insight into course content, and tour the school's facilities. Careers Guidance staff were on hand to discuss subject choices, career pathw.ays, and student support services on offer. 

This year, Swanshurst Sixth Form is expanding its post-16 curriculum with brand-new T-Level course and Alternative Academic Qualifications (AAQs):

• AAQ Health & Social Care

• AAQ Medical Science

• AAQ IT Data Analytics

• T Level in Education and Childcare (Level 3, delivered by NCFE)

These additions, alongside our already existing courses on offer, provide students with diverse pathways into higher education and employment.
